The word has just spread that King Henry VIII, having issued the Act of Supremacy, plans on selling off many abbeys, monasteries and chapels to refil the crowns pockets. Abbeys took up much landspace previously and Henry sees that this is a way of making easy money. When he started up the Church of England he dubbed himself the head of the Church of England, where he then took posession of all the Churches assets.

The monks and nuns in the abbeys have told us that they have been offered lifelong pensions in order to allow eviction. An unidentifyable source has told us that as the Abess of the abbey, she had been offered a large lump sum to sell her out of the abbey. Many of these buildings have been around for hundreds of years and many people fear of the damage that will be caused to such precious historic architecture.

Not only this but the Kings men have assaulted 4 shrines, evicted the house monks and taken possession of all the treaser that people have donated to God for the past century. No one is quite sure how this will turn out, however I have been reassured by many a monk, this is not the end of the matter.
